Before Lee Sinclair Furniture...

1971-1973 - Lee Sinclair worked at Berry Furniture Ltd - London - Furniture Designer. Designed the Berry Dynatop selected for Design Centre, London. Implemented new factory layout Responsible for company exhibitions i.e. Ideal Homes Exhibition. Arthur Lewis was in his 60's when I joined Berry's and had been there since joining the firm as an apprentice before the war.  He was a master craftsman and I am indebted to him for his time and patience.  He taught me the real craft of furniture making and the virtue in producing the highest quality work.  Arthur inspired me in many ways and convinced me that I should work towards running my own workshop. The knowledge I gained over those two years cannot be measured and I use
Arthur's "tips" everyday and hope that I have passed on his enthusiasm and knowledge to my apprentices.

1967-1971 - Lee Sinclair attended Hornsey College of Art - London - BA (hon) Three - Dimensional Design. Studied under Peter Dickenson, Fred Scott, George Ingham, Martin Grierson, John Heritage, Guido Belmonte, Ettoire Sotsass, John Marshall, John Sturgess.
